Best Ring Styles
Antique style engagement rings
For most men, one of the things in life which needs a careful preparation would be on that day wherein a proposal for marriage is to be given. To be able to make the moment perfect, the best engagement ring should be chosen. One of the most famous choices for such would be antique engagement rings. Regardless of the chosen cut, this design is popular because its appearance dictates old-fashioned elegance and an air of romanticism.
Most of the antique engagement rings, the moist charming, were produced before the 1950s. To be classified as antique, the ring needs to be more than 50 years old. Some of the most famous styles in history include:
Victorian Antique (1835-1900): with yellow or rose gold setting, evident with a line of diamonds and extra facet at the bottom, some have pearls, and normally not used daily.
Edwardian (1900-1920): the trend was for platinum and lace shapes and filigree details. Sapphires and rose-cut diamonds were also popular.
Art Deco (1920-1930): rings were streamlined, with geometric look and vibrant gemstones.
Most rings have diamonds while others have other stones such as pearls, opals, and emeralds. In this case, on needs to be careful because the stones are softer and more prone to damages. However, if your future wife really loves vibrant colors, you can still choose such stones, just be sure to observe extra care. Do not buy stones which are not genuine because they are generally of poorer quality. . .
